I am an iPhone app junkie and have been trying to find ways to turn it into an advanced flight system. One way to do so is with a more accurate GPS.
After a lot of searching I found that Bad Elf was the best on the market for the iPhone. Bad Elf provides accuracy up to 2m and connects to the iPhone through the power / data port used for charging. At first I thought that bluetooth would be a better solution but realized that if I wanted to use my BT helmet or other BT device…. I’d be out of luck. The device is small and has a usb connections that allows you to connect an external battery easily to charge your phone in flight.
Although you can use man apps… FlySkyHy is the best. Fantastic app with or without Bad Elf.

Accuracy was spot on and very fast to acquire. I noticed that iPhone GPS typically tries to pull you onto a road while Bad Elf trusted where you physically were.
Buy / No Buy? Buy it! At $129 you can’t really go wrong.
